Announcing Melinda Coleman, New Director of Operations at Martin Selig Real Estate

We are excited to announce the promotion of Melinda Coleman to the role of Director of Operations at Martin Selig Real Estate. Melinda has been an integral part of our team since 1998 when she started as an admin in the parking department.  Since that time, she has demonstrated dedication, leadership, and a comprehensive understanding of MSRE operations.

As Director of Operations, Melinda oversees all the hard-working teams that make MSRE shine, from Operations, Maintenance, Parking, Janitorial and HVAC through Landscaping, Construction Services, and the TI Department.  She collaborates with the teams on projects and decision-making to guarantee they have the support they need to successfully manage and run the properties and building systems.

Melinda’s journey to this position has been marked by significant achievements. In her first year with the company, she transferred into our operations department, and soon after, became MSRE’s first female Building Manager.  While in the role of Building Manager, Melinda maintained her role managing the operations department, the hub for tenant requests and building-related matters. This 25 years of experience provided the required skills and confidence for her success in this newest chapter of her career.

One of Melinda’s strengths is her ability to understand the direct connection between our day-to-day operations and the satisfaction of our tenants.  She has a wealth of operations knowledge and has grown with the company through multiple historic moments. From preparing for Y2K, overseeing the safety of the buildings and tenant spaces during the WTO protests, and navigating our teams through the recent pandemic, Melinda has consistently adapted to new circumstances, ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings.
