Celebrating Tom Brady’s Career and Impact at Martin Selig Real Estate

The MSRE family would like to honor Tom Brady as we celebrate his 41 years with the company and wish him well in his upcoming retirement.

Tom has faithfully served as MSRE’s Director of Operations since 1983!  During his career, Tom has worked on numerous commercial development projects including the Columbia Center, 3131 Elliott, 3101 Western Ave, West Tower, 635 Elliott, 645 Elliott, and 3rd & Harrison (to name a few).

Before Tom begins this next chapter, we caught up with him to learn about his time working for the company.

Question: What was the biggest project you worked on during your time at MSRE?

Answer: “The Columbia Center was the biggest project I worked on. Not only because of its size, but because of the unique mechanical design. At the time, a building had never been built with a system like that, and I don’t think any have been built since.

I also remember how many stairs we had to climb during that project. I was happy when the elevators finally went in.”

Question: What is your favorite building in the MSRE portfolio? And why?

Answer: “My favorite building is 3131 Elliott Avenue because of its staggered terraces and unobstructed view of the water.”

Question: What’s your fondest memory of working at MSRE?

Answer: “The memory that stands out the most is when everyone dressed up as me for Halloween. That was a surprise!”

Martin Selig Real Estate has been incredibly fortunate to retain many employees for multiple decades. In particular, Tom Brady has made a remarkable impact on Seattle real estate development throughout his career, and we’re thankful for his many years of service at MSRE. Best of luck and happiness to Tom as he begins his retirement adventures!
