Don’t Miss These Upcoming Seattle Events

Most Seattleites spend all year waiting on the summer. When the warmer months roll around, we do our best to make the most of them. From food festivals to outdoor concerts, there are more than enough events in Seattle to fill your calendar. Here are a few of our top event picks to take advantage of.

Food

Salmonfest Seattle:  If you’re a fish fiend, Salmonfest Seattle is the event for you. This all-weekend fish bake from August 4th through 6th includes a number of different salmon preparations, a beer garden, and a great way to spend a weekend.

Tots and Beer Festival: This food festival on August 5th features a number of local beers and one of the most vast menus of tater tots you’ll ever see.

Seattle Poke Contest: Seattle has recently become a hub for “poke” (pronounced po-kay), a raw fish dish native to Hawaii. If you are a true poke fanatic, this festival featuring a over a dozen local chefs’ versions of the Hawaiian favorite is a must.

Music and Outdoor Concerts

Out To Lunch Concert Series: If you work Downtown and you’re looking for a way to recharge on your lunch break, the Out to Lunch Concert Series is for you. This free concert series features local musicians in various downtown locations from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. on Mondays throughout the summer.

Concerts at the Mural 2017: Seattle Center and KEXP’s annual Concerts at the Mural series will kick off on Friday, August 4th at 5:30 p.m. These concerts are every Friday in August featuring artists including The Helio Sequence, Telekinesis, The Maldives and more.

Zoo Tunes: If you like live music and love animals, Zoo Tunes is the event for you. This concert series at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo features a variety of artists for all music tastes. All proceeds from these concerts go to animal care, conservation projects, and educational programs.

Seafair: Summer in Seattle is synonymous with Seafair. A local tradition since 1950, the culmination of Seafair August 4th through 6th showcases a variety of air and water shows that are fun for the whole family. Highlights include the Blue Angel shows, at 1:40 p.m. on August 4, 5, and 6, as well as hydroplanes, flying boats and more.

Seattle Outdoor Movies: If you’re looking for a family friendly event this August, Seattle Outdoor Movie Nights are a great option. Our city is home to a number of outdoor movie venues with weekly showings including Seattle Outdoor Cinema, Westlake Park, Magnuson Park, Seattle Center and more.  Upcoming events include:
