400 Westlake Crane Dismantled and On Track for Spring 2023 Completion

400 Westlake Crane Dismantled and On Track for Spring 2023 Completion

In a major milestone for the 400 Westlake project in Seattle, the crane has been safely dismantled and progress continues towards the scheduled completion in spring 2023. The project is one of the most ambitious in Seattle’s history, transforming the historic Firestone Building into a thriving, high-end commercial real estate high-rise. Read below to learn more about the progress being made on this exciting project.

The crane was successfully dismantled in early December and crews have been hard at work since then making steady progress towards completing the project on time. Lease Crutcher Lewis is nearing completion on installing the PV array panels, stone pavers and wood tiles on all exterior decks and roof terrace. At the street level, pedestrians will start to see new sidewalks poured and the landscaping around the building start to take shape. When complete, 400 Westlake will be one of Seattle’s premier office buildings with unparalleled amenities for its tenants.

400 Westlake will stand as an iconic building when it’s completed. It’s located in a prime location within walking distance of some of Seattle’s most popular attractions, including Amazon’s headquarters, the Space Needle, and South Lake Union. The entire complex will include over 232,000 square feet of office space spread out across 15 different floors, along with 8,672 SF of retail space on the ground level. In addition to this, all tenants will have access to a 3,500 SF rooftop terrace with 360-degree views of South Lake Union. The new building also features modern floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Union and South Lake Union Park.

400 Westlake is expected to be a game changer for businesses looking to relocate in Seattle. It offers tenants access to one of Seattle’s most sought after neighborhoods as well as views of the Olympic Mountains, Elliott Bay and downtown from virtually any angle. Companies who choose to rent space here will also benefit from state-of-the-art sustainability practices including enhanced rain collection systems and green technology designed to generate 105% of the energy the building consumes. As one of the first buildings in Seattle’s Living Building Program, 400 Westlake will be the greenest office building of its size in the world.

The dismantling of the crane at 400 Westlake marks an important step forward for this ambitious construction project that promises to transform how companies view commercial real estate when it opens this spring. With over 232,000 square feet of commercial space and retail space on the ground level, businesses have plenty to look forward to when they make their move into this iconic address near some of the city’s best attractions. Stay tuned for updates as construction crews continue their work towards completing this exciting project!
