Announcing Casey Gibson, New Director of Leasing at Martin Selig Real Estate

We are excited to announce the promotion of Casey Gibson to Director of Leasing at Martin Selig Real Estate.

With more than a decade of brokerage experience and a deep understanding of the commercial real estate landscape, Casey is set to bring fresh insights and innovative approaches to our leasing operations.

A Seattle native and proud UW alumnus, Casey holds a Master of Science in Real Estate, a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate, and a B.A. in Business Administration, all from the University of Washington.

His journey in commercial real estate began at Colliers International where he spent 11 years as a broker, focusing on office and industrial leasing, as well as land, investment, and owner/user sales. Faced with abrupt industry changes brought by the pandemic, Casey turned his focus to furthering his education. He enrolled in the Master’s program at the Runstad Department of Real Estate at the University of Washington, graduating in the top of his class while completing the 24 month program in just 12 months.

When asked about his decision to enroll and his motivation to succeed, he replied “the pandemic put me in a sink-or-swim situation, and I viewed the Master’s program as my lifeboat. I was highly motivated by the birth of my first child five weeks into the first quarter of the program and felt more focused and driven than I ever had before.” He furthered, “looking back, I am honestly thankful for the personal challenges brought by the pandemic as they were catalysts for self-improvement.”

Soon after graduating, Casey joined MSRE’s leasing team where he made immediate contributions, implementing an analytical approach to our deal evaluation process, and bringing a fresh set of eyes to department operations.

As our Director of Leasing, Casey oversees all leasing activities, ensuring that proposals and leases are accurate and achievable. Additionally, he plays a crucial role in communicating with our Executive team to ensure our tenants’ needs are met with the high level of service and care they have grown accustomed to.

Casey is committed to continuing our legacy as a service-oriented landlord, ensuring we remain uniquely flexible and accommodating for our tenants. With his leadership and expertise, we are confident that Martin Selig Real Estate will continue to offer a best-in-class tenant experience.
