Banksy’s Art Arrived at Seattle’s Federal Reserve Building

Over 1.2 million people around the world have already experienced the famed England-based street artist Banksy in full color at The Art of Banksy’s immersive art events. This past September of 2022, the Seattle art scene was able to see this artist’s work set front and center at an event set within Martin Selig Real Estate’s Federal Reserve Building

Since MSRE was founded in 1958, we’ve been committed to uplifting Seattle’s art scene and celebrating the work of emerging artists and famed voices of the art world.

Those who enter the lobbies of MSRE properties will see frescos hanging on the walls and murals bringing color and creativity to the space; while those who stroll the grounds will often find public art masterpieces on display for all to see.

This commitment to uplifting the local art community is carried through every space of the Federal Reserve Building, which was thoughtfully restored and reimagined to protect the unique artistic characteristics of the original architecture while bringing modern flair. You can find art deco touches throughout the space, with the building’s signature two-story, underground bank vaults on full display as reminders of how the past meets the present.

So when the opportunity to bring Banksy’s work to the Seattle art community came, the MSRE team knew the ideal site for this elusive street artist’s work to shine.

The Seattle Banksy exhibit, titled “Without Limits,” began in July and ran through early September. It featured original art as well as photo and sculpture reproductions that delighted Seattle’s art enthusiasts and inspired Banksy newcomers to become lifelong fans.

Banksy brings a political edge, a touch of humor, and poetic artistry to each of his creations. Themes that visitors to the Seattle Art of Banksy exhibit were able to explore more deeply through an original video documentary.
