Featured Tenant: ReachNow
Martin Selig Real Estate is home to tenants across a number of industries throughout Seattle. We strive to create custom, beautiful, and elegant office spaces for tech tenants, healthcare companies, and everything in between. This month, we’re zooming into ReachNow, a growing mobility services company from the BMW Group, whose Seattle office is located at MSRE’s 2118 Third Avenue space. We asked the ReachNow team about their company and what makes their office special. Here’s what they had to say:
Tell us a little bit about ReachNow. What’s your company’s mission and vision?
ReachNow, the mobility services division of the BMW Group, is building the future of urban transportation. Our mission is to empower our members to move seamlessly through their world and experience the people and places that matter to them the most. To achieve that, we’re hard at work developing an ecosystem of services that get members from A-to-B with a shared fleet of BMW and MINI vehicles. Today, we offer members options to drive, be driven, or rent a car for multiple days through our app.
How do your office space, layout, and location enable you to accomplish this mission and vision?
We are very proud to call Seattle home and to have our North American headquarters in the heart of the historic Belltown neighborhood. We designed the space to embody the values of ReachNow – open, transparent, collaborative and fast-moving and connected to the culture of the communities that we serve. One of the first things people notice about our office is how open our workspace is. No one has an office – not even our CEO. We intentionally wanted to create an environment that wouldn’t add physical barriers to how we work together. In fact, when we first moved in, there were no seat assignments to model how our service allows cars to be picked-up or dropped-off anywhere in our service area.
Beyond that, we were also very thoughtful in where we sourced materials. Many of the pieces that we feature in the office are from local designers and craftsmen in our three home cities, Seattle, Portland, and Brooklyn.
How long has your company been a tenant with Martin Selig Real Estate? Has your company grown and expanded during that time?
We moved into our building in Spring of 2016, just weeks before we first launched ReachNow in the Seattle market. The space initially started as multi-purpose space, including a retail space in the front for members to learn about how to use our service or even sign-up for membership. Over the past 18 months, as our business and team have grown, our office space has also evolved to support our focus on persistent growth. If you come in, you’d see that the same open, collaborative space that we envisioned at the beginning is now accommodating a team that’s filling every corner of available space.
How would you describe your experience working with Martin Selig Real Estate?
We’ve loved our partnership with Martin Selig Real Estate. As a young startup, it’s great to feel the support from the entire staff for us and our mission. As we’ve continued to grow, it’s felt like the Martin Selig team has been among our biggest fans.
